Difficulty: 5 out of 10; about 3.5 mi and 1 hr 45 min

 

This little trail in the heart of northwest Austin offers many options. There are significant elevation changes, and some rough areas with loose rock.  There is much vegetation and the trail could be a bit muddy or slippery, depending on the weather. 

 

Wear closed-toe walking shoes. Don't forget your water bottle. No restrooms are available on this hike.

 

 

Directions:  From Loop 360, drive north past FM 2222 approximately 2.1 miles. Turn left (west) onto Spicewood Springs Road, it is the second traffic light north of FM 2222. Drive approximately 2.3 miles to parking lot on the south (left) side of the road. Recommend parking in the lot.
