These cool benefits for annual $15 membership

 

1) Get your "how to do it", "what grows here", "where do I buy it", and "why did it die" questions answered by experienced gardeners and certified Travis County Master Gardeners on an informal basis at the end of each meeting.

 

2) Members share extra plants and seeds with other members. A list of plants, availability dates, and contact information is being compiled.

 

3) If you love digging in the dirt and plants, you will find friendly people who share your passion.

Garden Club

Directions: From Mopac (Loop 1) take the 2244/Rollingwood exit. If southbound, take the U-turn under MoPac. If northbound, stay on the frontage road which becomes Barton Springs Rd. Zilker Botanical Garden is on the left.

Time: 9:30 am

Place: San Antonio Botanical Gardens

Cost: $10 (ticket and docent) to be collected when we gather, plus lunch (about $10) plus sharing the cost of gas

WELCOME SPRING IN SAN ANTONIO! We are traveling to San Antonio Botanical Gardens for a docent-led tour of their refurbished garden, described as a 33-acre urban oasis. We are assured that the gardens will have recovered from the recent freeze and will be beautiful by then. Wear comfortable shoes for touring the garden. We will lunch afterward in the Carriage House Bistro—perhaps in the lovely white open tent. The garden tour begins at 11:00 AM with a 12:30 PM lunch reservation. We
should arrive back in Austin by 3:30 PM. We need a firm count for the docent and for lunch. Also
indicate whether you would be willing to drive in the carpool. The $10 admission/docent fee will be collected prior to departure.

Directions:We will meet at 9:15 a.m. in Southpark Meadows (I35 service road southbound and Slaughter) in the parking lot of TGI Fridays right past Rooms To Go. We will depart at 9:30.

Please consider carpooling and indicate if you are willing to drive when you RSVP. Those accepting rides will put in for gas.
We will collect the $10 for the admission/docent fee before we leave. If you have some type of pass for admission, just tell us and only put in for the docent.

Most programs and outings are held in the afternoon on the fourth Thursday of the month and takes place at our own Zilker Botanical Gardens.
NOTE: Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
