Whew!! I am almost back to normal activities. I know that all of you are resting up from all the holiday activities and the marathon playoffs on TV. Our family stayed on the go the whole holiday time period in Austin and on our road trip to visit my husband’s family who is 13 hours away. THEN, we had to take down all the decorations. There were many differences of opinion on how to watch football games and take down the Christmas decorations before our HOA sent us our “annual reminder letter” about the decorations. I am sure it was the same in your households! My schedule is busier because of the trips to the gym. Those holiday goodies and the neighbor’s playoff party appetizers can do some real damage to the waistline. I had to sit down when I was told how far that I would have to walk on the treadmill to take off the additional poundage. I did not know that I would have to walk to New York. Then there is the guilt associated with letting the retailers down by not eating the big box of Valentine Candy that my husband always brings to me. After my walk to New York, I can turn around and walk to the west coast for the Valentine candy. Those new tennis shoes that I bought with my coupons will really get a workout. Who knows, I may need another pair. For those who really know me, you know how I love half price sales, discount coupons, and shoes……
All jokes aside, February is heart month - most all the hospitals and clinics offer reduced rates on heart and arterial screenings. Please stay healthy and avail yourself of the reduced rates. At the January board meeting, there was an announcement that Newcomers was receiving a reduced rate for Cirque du Soleil tickets at the Cedar Park Center. Dates: 2/29-3/4.
