Critic's Corner -

Cost: $1/person
We meet at the home on one of our members the second Friday of each month to discuss and rate a movie selected by the group the previous month. After an opportunity to socialize over a snack and beverage, we discuss the movie, rate it and chose a movie for the next month. You can arrange to see the movie with other members of the group or see it on your own. If you would like to join this group, please email.

Arthouse Cinema Group

Welcome to the new Arthouse Cinema Group (formerly Critics’ Corner Associates). Our group usually chooses independent or arthouse films over the regular box office hits, sees them separately during the month, and then gets together for rating and discussion. If you love this type of film, please join us! Send email (see Welcome Mat for details) which includes name, phone number and email) to be included on the email list for the film title of the month, directions to our next meeting and deadline, if one.

French Conversation -

Girls on the Go -
With all that Austin has to offer, why stay at home? We go to movies, plays, concerts, etc., and we enjoy live music twice a month on Friday from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at Central Market, 4001 N. Lamar. Come as early as 5:30 PM for friendly conversation. Join us under the stars to make friends and make plans.

Men's Poker Group -

A Men's Poker group has formed. Join us for food and beverages while playing a friendly game of poker. The date (day of the month) and location may be different each month so email for the latest information.

Grannies Group -

Attention Grannies, Grandmas, Nanas...We want to gather a list of ladies who would like to go on outings with their little darlings. This will be a very informal group sharing the e-mail list to arrange activities including both the kids and Grannies. No obligation, no commitment. Whoever wants to plan something just lets the others know what, when and where. Let the kids entertain each other while we do the same but sitting in the shade. Any activitiy is great; park, plays, pools, movies, whatever. If you are interested in being added to the list, please let us know as well as the ages of the young'ns. You can join us without even bringing a kid 'cause we will have fun. Email for more information.

A Ladies Poker group has formed. Come have a fun night with the girls at this new interest group. Teaching is available, so don't be afraid to participate. BYOB, snacks and dessert served. Group is now closed due to overwhelming response.
